About us

Our lodge was chartered on October 5th, 1898 by the MW Grand Lodge AF & AM of the State of Illinois and given the name of the King of Sweden and Norway Oscar II of that time. Since then, we have always been a place “where true Masonic brotherhood flourishes.”

“Freemasonry is an organized society of men symbolically applying the principles of operative masonry and architecture to the science and art of character building. Its purpose is to improve the community through the improvement and strengthening of the character of the individual man.”

  1. I have a Lodge disc number 1863. It also has a 2 just to the left. Can you offer any information on it’s origin please? I am based in London, England. Many thanks.

    1. This is a numbered token created by our Lodge that was produced in limited quantities (hence the number below) and given out to members and visiting brethren from other Lodges.

      1. Thank you for your reply. How many were produced please and when? Also, does the small 2 to the left have any significance? Was there a second batch produced?

        1. Sorry but we do not have any info on that. II is referred to King Oscar the 2nd.

  2. Many thanks again. The 2 is not referring to the King as it is stamped just to the left below the 1863/
