t the September 12, King Oscar Lodge No. 855 meeting we gathered to learn the latest proposed amendments to be voted on at the upcoming Grand Lodge Annual Communication sessions. Our three Lodge representatives are now well prepared and informed to cast their ballots accordingly.
We enjoyed the educational presentation given by RW Bro. Gary Hardesty who illustrated the various officers’ chairs and places in the Lodge room and their respective duties.
W.M. Lozich, recognized Illustrious Bro. John Marquardt who was newly coronated as a 33rd Degree Scottish Rite Mason of the Valley of Chicago by the Supreme Council of the Scottish Rite, NM.J.
As all the Brethren present gave up a round of applause, he was asked to proceed to the East where he was presented with a pin and a Certificate of the Grand Lodge of Illinois in recognition of Military Service and First Responders that was previously presented to other members of our Lodge on May 23 honoring our U.S. Veterans and First Responders Masons: S.W. Bro. Norel Woods, PM Bro. Richard Sobotta, and PM Bro. Robert Bakker.
