On Sunday, January 30 2022, at Jefferson Masonic Temple in Chicago, a new slate of Lodge Officers was duly installed for the ensuing Masonic year.
As we saluted and applauded W. Bro. Brad Johnson for his tenure during a challenging year (see previous post), we welcomed our newly installed W.M. Brett A. Barnes who now sits in the East with a special gavel in hand, that of his great grandfather William G. Cummins who was W.M. of Parkway Lodge No. 1008 in Chicago in 1941.
During his closing remarks he also acknowledged his grandfather Bro. Earl Heppner, who had been our Tyler for many years and passed away while in office back in March of 2021, that was followed by a long applause.
We also saluted and gave a big round of applause to R.W.B. Russell Johnson, who has served our Fraternity and has been Lodge Secretary for so many years, who will no longer sit at the left of the W.M. in the East at the Secretary’s desk.
Another well deserved applause was directed to King Oscar’s Mason of the Year 2021, our past and current LEO and Marshal Bro. John Marquardt.
Enjoy a few photos highlighting the event.
